Stella Reinhold, Sarah, 2016

A performance on two screens loosely based on the script for Sarah Kane’s '4:48 Psychosis.' Stella Reinhold has recorded her performance and installed a projection on the small window in a door removed from the former acute psychiatric ward at Steinhof. The monologue is an autobiographical portrayal of clinical depression, a very subjective presentation of depression. The decision for the performance to take place under the stairwell could be seen as a reference to the circular structure of the Narrenturm in Vienna.
